Updates

Logan has been super busy. He was Boy of the Year for the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Basically this means that he was one of the faces of a big fundraising campaign. We tried to make it out to several fundraising events for the candidates, which kept us very busy for that 10 week period of time. Logan loved going to all the events and talking to people. He became very good at talking into the microphone with his favorite line "Thank you for helping to raise money to fight cancer, so more people can be survivors like me." I have to say that Eric and I were so proud of him going out there and raising awareness. We really want to give back and help fund research to help find a cure. No one should have to go through all the worry, pain and hardship that a cancer diagnosis brings. And we are a success story, but it still wasn't easy. It was so hard watching Logan go through all the treatment, just wishing I could take it all away.

At the end of the 10 week campaign, LLS held a Gala to celebrate and honor the Man and Woman of the Year. It was such a fun party and wonderful time to celebrate. Of course, Logan was a show stealer along with the Girl of the Year, Madison. Those two together made quite the impact. We are so thankful to all the candidates, and all the people at LLS that work so hard for this great cause.

Logan also was an honored hero for an LLS fundraiser at Rampart High School called Bald for Bucks. It was a HUGE head shaving event, and the school broke records with how much money the raised. We were just blown away by the selfless fundraising for such an amazing cause. Those kids are making such a difference in the world so young, it was impressive. Here is Logan in the middle of some of the shavees (many of them had already left):

Other than all the fundraising, Logan has been just living a normal and energetic life. He finished first grade and is having a fun summer including snowboarding lessons, visiting family in Oklahoma, watching soccer games and swimming.
